| The World Language Department of RHS
offers
a variety of language courses at all levels and stresses proficiency in
its approach. It is the goal of all language teachers to give students
the opportunity to develop their communicative skills in a foreign language,
to maximize their chances for better career opportunities and personal
growth.
To support this philosophy, the World Language Department offers a series of Exchanges and trips abroad to countries such as France, Germany and Spain. A trip to Quebec City is organized every other year. The WLD has also sponsored trips to Italy, and Mexico. We also participate in an e-mail exchange with France and in Connecticut, with the High Schools of Bristol, Coventry, East Hartford and Hartford Public where students can practice what they have learned in their language class.
